Arrival to Queen Alia International Airport, we’ll be meeting you at the airport
and assist you with the formalities, after collecting your luggage you’ll be led to
your driver and vehicle and transferred to your hotel in Amman for check in &
overnight.
After breakfast, the day begins with a drive north to Jerash, often referred to as the “Pompeii of the East.” Guests will walk through its remarkably preserved Roman ruins, including the Oval Plaza, colonnaded streets, temples, and theaters, gaining insight into the grandeur of ancient civilizations. The journey continues to Ajloun, where the medieval Ajloun Castle stands proudly atop a hill, offering sweeping views of the Jordan Valley. This fortress, built by the forces of Saladin, reflects the region’s rich history and strategic importance. Return to Amman for overnight stay.
Breakfast is followed by a guided city tour of Amman. Guests will explore the Citadel, with its ancient ruins and panoramic views, and the Roman Theater, still used for cultural events today. The tour highlights both the modern vibrancy and historical depth of the city. In the afternoon, the excursion continues eastward to the Desert Castles, a series of early Islamic structures that served as hunting lodges, trading centers, and retreats. Their intricate frescoes and mosaics reflect the artistry of the Umayyad era. Return to Amman for overnight stay.
After breakfast, guests travel to Pella, a site rich with archaeological remains spanning the Bronze Age, Roman, and Byzantine periods. Breakfast precedes a journey south along the King’s Highway. After breakfast, a full day is dedicated to exploring Petra, the jewel of Jordan and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Guests will enter through the Siq, a narrow gorge that opens dramatically to reveal the Treasury, Petra’s most iconic monument. The day continues with visits to the Street of Facades, the Royal Tombs, and the Roman Theater. For those who wish, a climb to the Monastery offers spectacular views and a sense of awe at the Nabataean craftsmanship. Breakfast is followed by departure to Wadi Rum, a desert landscape of extraordinary beauty often described as the “Valley of the Moon.” Upon arrival, guests will embark on a thrilling 4×4 ride with a Bedouin driver, lasting two hours. This adventure takes them deep into the desert, past towering sandstone mountains, natural arches, and sweeping dunes. Along the way, guests will learn about Bedouin traditions and enjoy the serenity of this timeless landscape. After breakfast, the journey continues to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth.
